Vince McMahon vs Donald Trump...... Will Continue???

martes, 23 de junio de 2009.

-- As was made clear with the angle on Monday's edition of WWE RAW, Donald Trump is no longer the storyline owner of RAW. But, following up on the Vince McMahon-Donald Trump pull-apart, WWE teased a future of heated encounters for the two tycoons. In a press release announcing Donald Trump's fictional sale and subsequent "firing," WWE noted that while "Trump is no longer the 'owner' of Monday Night Raw, this may not be the end of the feud between these two world class promoters."After selling Monday Night RAW to Donald Trump in a storyline on last week's show, Vince McMahon "bought" the brand back, at double Trump's cost, on Monday's show.-
- F4WOnline.com reports that Matt Hardy suffered an abdominal muscle injury--presumably a tear--during last night's Superstars match taping. He is slated to undergo surgery later this week.
-- WWE's 2009 Survivor Series pay-per-view has reportedly been booked for Washington, DC and there is already talk that Batista may be returning there. DC is Batista's hometown.
-- As noted before, Rey Mysterio and other WWE talents have been voicing concerns with their pay as of late. There was talk at last night's RAW about wrestlers being upset that WWE would do something like give away a $235,000 gate just to get Donald Trump over as a babyface in a storyline that ended before it began.
- John Cena appeared on Bubba The Love Sponge's radio show earlier today and confirmed he is getting married to his high school sweetheart soon. Cena also noted that he's looking over more movie scripts and hopes to start filming something this fall. He said the audience is changing because of WWE's switch to PG ratings and said he wants to film a PG movie so all his fans can see it. Cena also noted how The Undertaker runs the locker room.
- Announced for this Thursday's WWE Superstars on WGN America is a Triple Threat for the WWE United States Championship with Kofi Kingston vs. MVP vs. Matt Hardy.
- Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio will face Edge and WWE Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho in a "Rage in the Cage" match on this week's episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
- It looks like the Santina Marella character is done as Donald Trump "fired" it on RAW tonight. Still with Vince McMahon buying RAW back, I guess he could bring Santina back.

Jeff Hardy is the most popular wrestler

lunes, 22 de junio de 2009.

-- The post, issued Saturday evening, states that he is "week2week," implying that he still has not locked down a long-term plan for his future with the company. All indications from recent reports are that Hardy will ultimately sign a WWE contract renewal, although there remains a good chance that he will take some time off before fulfilling the commitments of that renewed deal. WWE remains very high on Hardy; a recent tidbit in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter cited a source in referring to Hardy as its "most popular wrestler."
-- PWInsider reports that Cody Rhodes is nursing a sore neck. Fortunately, there are no indications that it is a serious, prohibitive injury for the Legacy member.
- In an interview They asked how Cena came up with the YOU CAN´T SEE ME GESTURE and he said it was his little brother who came up with it and used it as an insult against him. He told his brother he was going to steal it and use it in the ring. His brother said he was bluffing so Cena took it as a challenge and told him he would get it on TV and it stuck.
--At the Grand Rapids TNA live show, Kurt Angle squashed the WWE return rumors. Angle announced that he loves TNA, wants to extend his contract with the company and that he will never return to the WWE again. He said he never wants to work for Vince McMahon again, despite his recent radio appearance where he said he could return to WWE if he wanted to, since his TNA contract is about to expire and he did not burn any bridges in WWE when he left.
- -- Regarding Sim Snuka’s release, it likely was not a Wellness Policy-related firing but rather due to creative not having anything for him. Snuka was last seen on TV at WrestleMania when he played a stunt camera man for Shawn Michaels to throw infront of Undertaker during a dive over the top rope down to the ringside floor. The spot was botched, and while it’s debatable whether Snuka was at fault or not, he ended up getting a little heat for it. He hasn’t been seen since and was given his release shortly after 5:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2009.
-- WWE confirmed the releases of a SmackDown! Diva and RAW Superstar Friday. Though both releases are noteworthy, neither star had been part of an active television program.Gone are SmackDown's Candice Michelle and RAW's Sim Snuka. The related WWE press releases are below:"World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Candice Michelle as of today, June 19, 2009. WWE wishes Candice the best in all future endeavors.""World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar Sim Snuka as of today, June 19, 2009. Today´s Raw news

lunes, 15 de junio de 2009.

-- Chris Masters was indeed hired back by World Wrestling Entertainment this past week. "The Masterpiece" had a meeting with Vince McMahon at the Los Angeles tapings a few weeks ago and was recommended by Randy Orton to be brought back. Many in WWE are curious as to how he will look like when he returns as it was noted that it will send a message. WWE released Masters from his contract on November 8, 2007 six days after he had been suspended for 60 days for having violated the company's drug testing policy on a second occasion. The suspension was for 60 days because he had been previously suspended on August 30, 2007 when the Signature Pharmacy scandal broke out. Shortly after his return to the ring, he was suspended for failing a drug test. Contrary to his Wikipedia bio, Masters was not suspended when he quietly taken off the road in May 2006. Masters entered a drug rehabilitation due to an issue with prescription painkillers, but it did not count as a strike against because there was no drug test failure associated with him being sent to rehab. He returned to WWE four months later with much less muscle mass, leading Jerry "The King" Lawler to refer to him as "leaner and meaner" Chris Masters.
- As announced this week on Friday Night SmackDown, CM Punk will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Edge and Jeff Hardy in a three-way bout this Monday night. As it turns out, the match was originally scheduled to take place at The Bash pay-per-view later this month, but due to next Monday's three-hour RAW, it's being moved up. As of Thursday, the creative team were still scrambling on how to figure things out for Monday's show, not to mention how it would all lead to matches for the pay-per-view in two weeks.
- In a follow-up on an earlier report, Rey Mysterio did not hand in his notice to WWE officials as he still remains in the company. However, there are some issues between both sides which need to be worked out.
- Hurricane Helms made his ring return Saturday night at the SmackDown/ECW live event in Binghamton, New York. Helms teamed with Evan Bourne to lose to The Hart Dynasty after Helms took the Hart Attack.
- Saturday night's SmackDown/ECW event also saw WWE Hall of Famer Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat defeat WWE developmental talent Drew McIntyre.
- Triple H has been back on the road with the RAW brand this weekend, defeating Randy Orton in the show's main events.
- WWE will present a three-hour episode of tonight's RAW from Charlotte, NC at the Time Warner Cable Arena. The theme of tonight's show will be the "Three-For-All" edition. Matches confirmed include an ECW Title match with Tommy Dreamer vs. Christian, a World Heavyweight Title match with CM Punk vs. Edge vs. Jeff Hardy and a match to crown a new WWE Champion with Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. Big Show vs. John Cena.
- World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. has named Mike Pavone as Executive Vice President of WWE Studios. In his new role, Pavone will lead WWE Studios’ theatrical releases, direct-to-DVD movies, series and reality programming and report directly to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
Pavone brings with him more than 18 years of experience in the film and television industry having worked as a writer, producer, director and actor. His projects include such notable titles as: The Client (CBS), Prison Break (FOX), High Incident with Steven Spielberg (ABC), Jack & Jill (WB), Against The Grain (NBC), Street Time (Showtime), The Blue Wall (Disney), Northmen for Warner Bros. and Seven Men from Now for Beacon Films.

WWE Rumours

martes, 2 de junio de 2009.

- Candice Michelle is scheduled to return to WWE next month from her latest injury.

- John Cena’s movie 12 Rounds opened at #7 in the UK this week.

- Triple H was originally advertised to appear in a six-man tag-team main evet at this Saturday's WWE "Supershow" in Pensacola, Florida."The Game" was scheduled to team with John Cena and CM Punk against Randy Orton, Edge and Chris Jericho in six-man tag action. However, Triple H was as of late yesterday replaced in advertisements with Jeff Hardy. So the match is now Jeff Hardy, Cena and Punk vs. Orton, Edge and Jericho.

- More details are now surfacing about the situation involving Mr. Kennedy and WWE. For those still in the dark, you should read the original article about why Mr. Kennedy got fired specifically and what went down backstage at RAW that night. It is on the newsboard if you go back a few days.As far as the update is concerned, it appears that not just Randy Orton went to Vince McMahon to complain about how dangerously clumbsy Kennedy is in the ring and how green he is. While no one is named directly, apparently two or three top, multi-time world champions (one should already come to mind) were among those that went directly to McMahon to vent their frustrations.According to sources, McMahon was already in a bad mood due to the NBA/Denver Nuggets situation and reportedly went insane with anger on a plane ride back home. McMahon apparently said Kennedy is now on the WWE's "do not call list" which very few people are on. It's the cream of the crop when it comes to testing the often-preeched "never say never" slogan in WWE.
