Vince McMahon vs Donald Trump...... Will Continue???

martes, 23 de junio de 2009.

-- As was made clear with the angle on Monday's edition of WWE RAW, Donald Trump is no longer the storyline owner of RAW. But, following up on the Vince McMahon-Donald Trump pull-apart, WWE teased a future of heated encounters for the two tycoons. In a press release announcing Donald Trump's fictional sale and subsequent "firing," WWE noted that while "Trump is no longer the 'owner' of Monday Night Raw, this may not be the end of the feud between these two world class promoters."After selling Monday Night RAW to Donald Trump in a storyline on last week's show, Vince McMahon "bought" the brand back, at double Trump's cost, on Monday's show.-
- F4WOnline.com reports that Matt Hardy suffered an abdominal muscle injury--presumably a tear--during last night's Superstars match taping. He is slated to undergo surgery later this week.
-- WWE's 2009 Survivor Series pay-per-view has reportedly been booked for Washington, DC and there is already talk that Batista may be returning there. DC is Batista's hometown.
-- As noted before, Rey Mysterio and other WWE talents have been voicing concerns with their pay as of late. There was talk at last night's RAW about wrestlers being upset that WWE would do something like give away a $235,000 gate just to get Donald Trump over as a babyface in a storyline that ended before it began.
- John Cena appeared on Bubba The Love Sponge's radio show earlier today and confirmed he is getting married to his high school sweetheart soon. Cena also noted that he's looking over more movie scripts and hopes to start filming something this fall. He said the audience is changing because of WWE's switch to PG ratings and said he wants to film a PG movie so all his fans can see it. Cena also noted how The Undertaker runs the locker room.
- Announced for this Thursday's WWE Superstars on WGN America is a Triple Threat for the WWE United States Championship with Kofi Kingston vs. MVP vs. Matt Hardy.
- Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio will face Edge and WWE Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho in a "Rage in the Cage" match on this week's episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
- It looks like the Santina Marella character is done as Donald Trump "fired" it on RAW tonight. Still with Vince McMahon buying RAW back, I guess he could bring Santina back.

CM Punk turning Heel

jueves, 18 de junio de 2009.

-- After Vickie Guerrero did her final angle last week on RAW, a lot of talent backstage approached her to give their thanks for how well she did in her role with the company. Guerrero left WWE to take care of her two daughters and she didn’t think that she should be gone two or three days a week, as a single mother.

-- In an update to the CM Punk situation, the latest word is that WWE has not officially committed to the heel turn. Though the turn does seem inevitable, the final decision will be a product of fan reaction to Punk in his upcoming pay-per-view match with Jeff Hardy, given that WWE sees Hardy as the audience's most beloved babyface.

-- On the subject of Edge, sources say he was given this past weekend off to rest his body from the constant wear-and-tear. Edge has consistently worked aggressive matches for WWE with little downtime, and sources say he might be a candidate for a reduced road schedule in the near future.

-- There is still a lot of speculation that Ric Flair will be the next general manager of RAW, but as of Tuesday evening there was still nothing confirmed about who will play the role.
Sources say Batista is coming to grips with the fact that his days are numbered as a full-time, active WWE wrestler. While he plans to make a full recovery from his recent biceps injury, the talk is that Batista knows he will not be able to continue for much longer. Though most wrestlers end up going far longer than Mother Nature would recommend, the feeling is that Batista has accepted that his body is aging--he might not opt to make more returns if he again succumbs to injury after returning from this ailment.WWE still places Batista's expected return timeframe at 4-6 months, although there is some optimism that he will try to get back in the ring by the end of the summer.

Rey Mysterio could quit!!!

domingo, 14 de junio de 2009.

- Rey Mysterio's WWE status remains the week's biggest mystery. Earlier this week, rumors, supported by the fact that Mysterio missed this week's television taping, claimed that the wrestler had quit WWE. Numerous media outlets quickly noted that Mysterio's absence was a scheduled break to nurse lingering injuries; it thus could not be used as evidence to support rumors of his giving notice. As the weekend rolled in, F4WOnline.com reported that while Mysterio had not, in fact, quit the company, he did have ongoing issues with WWE management. That source added Saturday evening that Mysterio's heat with WWE officials is a two-sided conflict over "money issues." More details were not available.Interestingly, F4WOnline's report only focuses on the tension between the two parties--it does not directly address the significance Mysterio's injury played in explaining his absence. In any event, Mysterio is not expected to leave WWE over the conflict.

- In an interview with the Charlotte Observer, former WWE Champion Randy Orton says he hopes to follow a different path than industry veterans like Ric Flair.Though he does not mention "The Nature Boy" by name in the relevant quote, it is clear that Orton does not believe wrestlers like Flair epitomize his ideal wrestling legacy.“I don't want to put myself in a position where financially I need to perform when I'm 60 or 50 or even in my mid-40s. There will be a time when I'm a dad of two or three and I just want to be at home with my family," says Orton.Orton nonetheless praises Flair's contribution to his success as a WWE performer. He offers, “He was one of my mentors when I started. If it wasn't for him and Triple H and my father [former wrestler Cowboy Bob Orton], I wouldn't be where I am now."

- There is talk that the supposed "four month" absence for Batista might be overstated hype on WWE's part. Sources have conflicted on the matter - some say he will take more time off (and not return until the Royal Rumble), while others believe he can return as soon as Summerslam. What is certain, however, is that Batista is indeed injured and did indeed undergo surgery - rumors to the contrary are absolutely false.

Undertaker return!!!

viernes, 12 de junio de 2009.

- Former WWE Diva and current TNA performer Lisa Marie Varon denied rumors (no source of the allegation was provided) that she was Chris Benoit's "secret mistress" at the time of his double murder-suicide. Varon says that she would be willing to submit to a polygraph to prove the inaccuracy of the rumor, which supposedly is going around the wrestling gossip world."This [allegation] is absolutely false," she declares.
- JR WRITE IN HIS BLOG THIS:
JR On Batista's Surgery: "Dr. Jim Andrews, as I understand it, in Birmingham, Alabama performed the surgery to repair a major injury to Dave Batista's biceps. The Animal will be out at least 4 months and perhaps closer to 6. Bad break for a good guy but no one has to worry about how hard Batista will work to come back and be 100%. Nor will Dave be "lonely" one has to assume. Perhaps Nurse Slobberknockers will be available. Sponge bath any one??
JR On Undertaker: "Communicated with The Undertaker recently who is anxious to return to the ring sooner than later. I don't have a return date but there is no doubt in my mind that the future Hall of Famer will be back in a WWE ring by summer's end or early autumn. "They" don't make 'em like the "Demon of Death Valley" any more folks and for those that continue to send us questions regarding a 'Taker retirement be advised that they are still be deleted because there's nothing to that rumor."
JR On Lilian Garcia: "Lots of questions regarding WWE seeking a female, ring announcer/singer. This doesn't mean that Lilian Garcia is going any where but media company's like WWE are never NOT looking for new announce talents. I do not know what Lilian's long term professional or personal goals are but I have not heard any thing but good things about her work. We all know she can damn sure sing. Who knows, perhaps Lil is looking to cut back on her road
- For the first time, ever, in RAW’s history, the June 22nd edition of Monday night RAW in Green Bay, Wi will broadcast live with no commercial breaks. The show will remain uninterrupted from start to finish. WWE’s creative team will treat this show as a PPV, since they will have no breaks throughout the entire broadcast.
- MMA fans who wish to watch Bobby Lashley fight Bob Sapp later this month on PPV, can purchase the Ultimate Chaos PPV for $29.99 on June 27th.
